I feel like everyone is INSANE right now. My parents don’t like my music and are lying about it. (as they’ve done many time before..about many things. It takes once to be on my list.). They are lousy liars. I don’t necessarily care whether they like it or not, but I HATE the lying. My siblings have their own set of problems (and one of them likes to pretend I don’t exist). My friend feels he WANTS to die young in the gutter with a bottle of Jack Daniels in his hand (and is self-destructing to make that happen). I’m glad I never told him I had feelings for him because, wow, while I cherish him dearly that’s one sick guy there. I dodged a cannon ball.

and the more I’m around other musically inclined people the more difficult I find it to be around non music people. Very much so. Like, what the hell is everyone else talking about anyway? You said what now??

And how the hell do I blow through money so fast????

and I’m losing sight of what I wanted my album to be. That MUST be corrected. NOW.

omg this is too much on my mind for so early in the morning. I’m going to look 60 by the time the year is out.

This is true. They’re more comfortable, but look terrible. I saw a pair in the store that had an extra built in ass support, like an ass bra.

I have to say that men in super skinny jeans look just as bad in a different kind way (a really bad way).

Personally, I don’t think they are more comfortable. I prefer a mid/low rise. I don’t like the ones that are so low that they show off the undies, but I prefer a lower cut. The high waisted ones never fit right and I feel really uncomfortable in them.

As for the super skinny jeans on guys, if a guy can pull them off, I think they are HOT as hell, but most guys can’t pull them off. It requires a very special type of build and a specific type of style. You have to know your limits.

This is hilarious. Ass bra. bwahahahaha! And YES on the guys wearing skinny jeans. And they have to be a certain type of guy…and a certain age unless they’re a VERY special certain type of guy. I hate when the butt rides half way down the back of they’re legs though. baaah. That just looks weird. On anyone.

I think the problem is the scale is a bit less intimate than I wanted. I was thinking- my solo-acoustic set, but perfect. Maybe a violin- and then it got bigger and bigger. The rest of the CD MUST be kept that way. It has to be true to what I do live.

Happy Birthday! Funny, that. My sister and I are going next week for her birthday. And no shame in being 11. That’s me on a good day. ha. When was the last time you were there? So much has changed in the last few years. You’ll get to see the Haunted Mansion all decked out which is always fun.

I was there last year for my B-day as well. When I first moved, I had a SoCal limited pass, but I haven’t had one for a while. I’m contemplating getting one again, since I’m moving down there, and I’m sure I’ll have visitors wanting to go.

It’s so worth it to get a pass. Mine gets quite the work out. I’d say it’s a must if you’re going to be relatively close.

“Veggie Pot Pie and I Don’t Care”- Mini Spinach and Mushroom Pot Pies

Last night in my kitchen, it looked like an episode of Iron Chef. People were running around like crazy, hot pans in hand, pots boiling over. It was utter chaos. Why did it turn into kitchen stadium in my house? Well, I attribute this chaos to the fact that our fridge broke. In order to save some of the food we had, we went into Iron Chef mode.

Everyone in the kitchen had a job to create a dish out of whatever they could salvage from our fridge/freezer. Let me tell you, it was quite an interesting array of food. Fortunately, I found puff pastry and decided to run with an idea I saw on TV earlier in the day, mini pot pies.

What You Need (Feeds 4):

1/2 Pkg. Puff Pastry (thawed)

1 Pkg. Baby Bella Mushrooms (sliced)

1/2 Onion (diced)

10 oz Frozen Spinach (thawed)

Pinch of Herbs (to taste)

1 Tbsp. Mushroom Soup Mix (Osem brand)

Salt/Pepper

1/2 Cup Ricotta Cheese

1/4 Cup Pecarino Romano Cheese (grated)

1 Egg (for egg wash)

Heat oven to 400 degrees.

1. Roll out puff pastry dough just a bit so it is thinner. Use a large round cookie cutter to cut 4 circles. Then use a small/medium cutter to cut 4 smaller rounds. Then, take the 4 large rounds and place each into a greased cupcake tin. Set aside.

2. Pre-heat a large greased pan on medium heat. Add the onions and cook until tender. Then add in the mushrooms and soup mix. Saute until tender then add the spinach, cheeses and seasonings. Stir together until well mixed and turn off heat.

3. Spoon the spinach mixture into each of muffin tins. Place the extra dough rounds on top and pinch the doughs together around the edge. Cut a small slit on top. Then, using a brush, lightly coat the tops with the egg wash.

4. Place in oven for about 20-25 minutes or until browned.

One of my acting professors, informed me in front of my class I better get a damn good personal trainer over the winter break to work on my abs. Now, I know she didn’t mean it as harsh as I heard it and I know if I get my abs in strength my lower back may not hurt as much, but I keep having literal nightmares about this class and coming back from break after working my butt of and looking worst and the whole class laughing and I wake up in sweats.

Let’s face it, a huge reason I am turning my back on acting is about all the comments of my outer look. Big boobed, not in the best shape I could be. Type Cast: Older Lady or Best Friend.

I know I am not unfortunate looking but to the acting world even in Ohio I am not good enough, even if I have a slight bit of talent it’s not enough.

I don’t know why I care so much I guess it’s because now I am starting to wonder what anyone sees in me, and I am finding it harder to see how someone else could see me as beautiful.

First, you need to draw a THICK line between your acting/image/product self and your REAL LIFE self. They are two different entities. The only way you will stay sane in that industry is to realize that you are separate from your product. The bad thing about any branch of the entertainment industry is that you are selling your outside first. It’s a very superficial reality, but you are a product first. This is the key to earning your place in this world. I’m dealing with that at the moment as well. I used to model a bit and even at 5’7” and a size 4 I was too fat. I was asked to lose 20lbs which is when I quit. Then I settled into real life and a size 10, which is pretty average. I look normal and I’m fine with it for real life. BUT now I’m getting into music quite seriously and the subject of image is rearing its ugly head. The way I see it is this: I know that in ‘REAL’ life this crap doesn’t matter and you should as well. But if you’re going to make your outside your product, then it has to be a package that will sell. At the end of the day it’s all about money. This is less so if you’re going to be on the stage as opposed to on the screen, but it’s still there. We always having the option of changing what we have to a certain point, but if that’s impossible or if the bloody uphill battle doesn’t seem worth it then you have to find what works about you and WORK that. If you don’t know who Har Mar Superstar is I suggest you look him up. He is an example of making it work; a complete lesson in having self confidence. lol

Women are sadly also typecast in real life, but you have a choice whether or not you want to pay attention to it. But if you’re in that industry, it’s more difficult to ignore. So, it sucks and I understand what you’re going through. But at the end of the day it is what it is. And I’ve seen your photos and think you’re beautiful, but the bad part is that how well you play the game can dictate the kind of career you have.
